Experienced Punch Press Operator | Hengelo

Korte beschrijving

You don’t need anyone to explain how a punch press works. You have experience working with large industrial punching machines, you know what a machine should sound like when it’s running properly, and you often notice something is wrong before it becomes a problem. Sound familiar? Then we’re looking for you.

For a technical manufacturing company in Hengelo, the Netherlands, we are looking for an experienced Punch Press Operator. And when we say experienced, we really mean it. You must be able to independently set up, operate and monitor large industrial punching machines.

Your knowledge and experience are just as important as your ability to operate the machines. You will join a company where your expertise is genuinely valued and where we encourage you to share your knowledge with your colleagues.

Already retired, but not quite ready to leave your profession behind? We would also be very happy to hear from you. Working a few days a week while passing on your years of experience to the next generation could be a great fit for both sides.

What do we offer?

As an experienced Punch Press Operator, you will have plenty of independence and responsibility. You will have the freedom to use your experience, contribute ideas and share your technical knowledge with colleagues.

You can expect:

• A competitive salary based on your knowledge and experience;
• Excellent employment conditions in accordance with the Metalektro collective labour agreement (CAO);
• The prospect of long-term employment;
• A skilled and supportive technical team;
• Opportunities for further development;
• Fun company and team activities;
• A position where your experience and craftsmanship are truly valued.

Already retired? We are happy to discuss the possibilities. If you would like to work a few days or hours per week and pass on your knowledge to a new generation of skilled operators, we would love to talk to you.

Who are you?

You are an experienced professional in the metalworking industry. You know how large punching machines work, can set them up independently and understand what is happening throughout the production process.

General operator experience alone is not enough for this position. Hands-on experience with large industrial punching machines is essential.

In addition:

• You have solid experience as a Punch Press Operator;
• You have worked with large industrial punching machines;
• You can independently set up, operate and adjust machines;
• You have strong technical insight and extensive machine knowledge;
• You have an eye for dimensions, quality and the finished product;
• You recognise deviations and potential malfunctions at an early stage;
• You enjoy sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues;
• You work safely, accurately and independently;
• You have at least vocational/MBO-level working and thinking ability;
• You speak Dutch, English or German.

Speaking Dutch is not required. If you are an experienced Punch Press Operator and can communicate well in English or German, we would be just as happy to hear from you.

What will you be doing?

As a Punch Press Operator, you are responsible for keeping the punching machines running smoothly. You know which settings are required, closely monitor the production process and intervene when necessary.

Your responsibilities include:

• Independently setting up and operating large punching machines;
• Checking and adjusting machine settings when necessary;
• Monitoring the production process;
• Checking dimensions and product quality;
• Identifying and preventing malfunctions;
• Carrying out maintenance together with the technical maintenance team;
• Keeping your workplace safe, clean and organised;
• Contributing ideas for production process improvements;
• Sharing your knowledge with less experienced colleagues.

That last point is particularly important to us. We are not simply looking for someone who can keep production running. We are looking for someone who understands why a machine behaves the way it does.
